Kiama’s 2020 Showgirl

Mackenzie Warfield

Gerringong’s Mackenzie Warfield will be representing the Kiama Show Society at the Showgirl Zone finals on 22 February, after being named by the Kiama Showgirl for 2020.

The entrants were judged on their personality, confidence, ambition and life goals, presentation, speech, involvement and experience in rural affairs, and their rural, community and current affairs knowledge.

Mackenzie has just completed her HSC and is working for a year as an administrative assistant at Shellharbour Hospital before beginning her studies to be a commercial pilot.

The former School Captain at Kiama High has a passion for volunteering, raising money for local, district and national organisations.

In 2019, she was chosen to attend the National Youth Science Forum, and was recognised with the School’s Service Award.

Former Nowra Showgirl Fiona Phillips MP met with the contestants before the judging to share her experiences and encourage the young women to use the competition to gain skills for life.

The coming year will see Mackenzie act as an ambassador for the Show and the local agricultural community.
