The Member for Kiama, Gareth Ward, has been appointed as Parliamentary Secretary for Education, in addition to his role as Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra and South Coast.

“As a strong supporter of our Gonski education reforms, I look forward to working with Minister Stokes on initiatives that make a real difference for students and teachers in NSW,” he says.

“As a proud product of public education, I want to use this role to ensure students in today’s classrooms have every opportunity to reach their full potential.

“Having been a student with a disability, I look forward to being a strong advocate for students that are walking the same path I did and I want them to know that they can be all they want to be.”
