Council is to proceed with changes to the Local Environment Plan (LEP) for Schottlanders farm at Rose Valley. The changes will allow for the lodgement of a DA for a small abattoir and a 60 seat restaurant.

One hundred and fifty nine submissions were received on the proposal, 82 in support and 73 against.

Councillors Rice and Sloan voted against the proposal, voicing concerns about possible pollution of Werri Lagoon.
