Top portrait prize for Gerringong artist

portraitAmongst the fourteen artists who contributed works for the Before I Die I…. Project was a haunting picture by Megan Seres. Little wonder it was sold.

The Gerringong artist had just been announced as the winner of the richest art prize in the world, the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, for a portrait of her daughter titled: Scarlett as Colonial Girl. Apart from prestige, the prize comes with a $150,000 purse.

The Before I Die …. Project was enthusiastically received by the community, with many participating in the various workshops and events designed to encourage people to think about what really matters to them.
