Darrell Clingan, chair of Gerringong’s South Precinct Committee, has been reliably informed that the Noble brothers’ DA for 98 Fern St will go up for consideration at the Council Meeting on 15 December.
“I’ve been told it has a 90 per cent chance of being included in this month’s Business Papers,” he says.
These are usually released at the end of the week before the meeting, but Clingan isn’t wasting any time waiting til then to get the word out.
“We need to have as many people as possible at the Public Access meeting on Monday 14 December to show their opposition to the development that is proposed,” he says.
“Our concern is that it is not in the best interests of the community to restrict access to this public land.”
He believes that members of the public taking the time to turn up for the discussion will show Councillors how strongly they feel about the issue.
Clingan will register to talk at the Public Access meeting on behalf of the Precinct.
