Green tick to show who’s open for business

The Kiama & District Business Chamber have introduced Big Tick posters for businesses to display.

“They are designed to easily show the public that they are still open for business, whether it be for normal service or in a reduced capacity,” says the Chamber’s President, Cameron McDonald of Carter Ferguson.

He gives as examples restaurants or cafes that may be now serving takeaway or deliveries only; or a business may have the shopfront closed but, like The Wildflower Studio florist, is still be taking online and phone orders and offering a full service delivery.

“There is a space on the posters where businesses can advertise their new trading hours and conditions, so its clear to the passing public.

“Many businesses have had to adapt their business model to keep trading in some capacity at the moment, and this is a small way we can help to get the word out there and promote support of local business as a priority.”

Unfortunately, since the campaign was rolled out a number of other businesses, including Silica and My Room have temporarily closed their doors.
