Kiss Arts Festival Director Dave Evans is confident that this year’s Festival will build on the success of last year, which brought the events to a central location on the Harbour.
“People told us they loved being able to stroll between acts, and make use of the natural amphitheatre to watch the shows,” he says.
“This year we’ve incorporated hands-on visual arts projects to get involved with, and have a young lively brass band leading up to a fire show on the Saturday night.”
Artists from the international touring scene performing at this year’s Festival include: Chris Lynham, a clown with beast-like physicality; Dream State Circus, action packed comedy with fire and knives; Jaardu, a character based on Indian village magicians; and Mario, a Latin lothario juggling to Queen anthems.
“It’s pretty special to have these acts coming to our little town to perform with local artists. We hope everyone comes along and spends a few hours of great fun at this free event.”
Details: Sat 29 April, 12-9pm and Sun 30 May, 10-5pm Kiama Harbour.
