Coolangatta Estate, near Shoalhaven Heads, has finished the 2016 Wine Show Season in spectacular form, with its 2005 Coolangatta Estate Semillon winning the Trophy for Semillon of the Year at the 2016 Winestate Wine of the Year Awards.

The awards are judged from over 10,000 wines from across Australia and New Zealand in 12 categories.

This result comes on the back of the recent win at the Sydney International Wine Show where the 2009 Wollstonecraft Semillon won 3 Trophies including for Best Wine of Competition.

In that competition, 2000 wines were entered from eight countries including Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Portugal, Chile and Italy and were judged by an International Panel of 14 judges.
