Kiama is to have the extraordinary opportunity of hearing one of Europe’s finest family of classical musicians playing in the intimate setting of Christ Church.
Ana de la Vega’s marriage to Daniel Röhn is bringing his famous family to town. The happy couple will be playing a concert with Daniel’s father, mother and sister in Ana’s home town to celebrate the occasion. The program of Mozart, Debussy and Beethoven will be the same that has been devised for the Canberra International Music Festival, which will be their only other performance on their visit to Australia.
Daniel performed in the church with Ana in March this year to much acclaim. She is a renowned flautist and he is a brilliant young violinist more used to playing in the world’s leading concert halls.
Daniel’s father, Andreas, is one of the leading concert masters of our time and has been professor of violin in Hamburg for twenty years. His mother, Kerstin, has been
a pianist of note since her debut in Stockholm in 1969, and sister Anje was recently guest violinist for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
